A los dos años, Christopher empezó su carrera televisiva en Murphy Brown, como hijo de la protagonista principal, interpretada por Candice Bergen. Posteriormente, apareció en series de televisión tan apreciadas por la crítica como CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Urgencias y Sin rastro. Aparecía regularmente en la serie Out of Order, de Showtime, junto a Eric Stoltz, Felicity Huffman y William H. Macy. Christopher también protagonizó la miniserie de Stephen King Storm of the Century y ha aparecido en The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
